9/9/16: Clarks Grove, MN- Shangri La. We have been looking forward to this festival presented by Wookiefoot for a long time! Shangri La is one of the coolest festivals that we have gotten to be a part of. When we first arrived Jojo from Wookiefoot came over and gave us all big hugs and said “Welcome home.” We had a really fun set, and we didn’t let a little rain and mud ruin our time. We had people sloshing around and having a great time with us. After our set we had the whole day to enjoy music. It was amazing getting to see some world class bands like Stick Figure, Nahko& Medicine for the people, and my favorite of the day: Mike Love. If you haven’t checked Mike Love out, do yourself the favor. Mike also sports some of the biggest dreads I have ever seen. I had a lot of fun hanging front row with our friends Ray and Aundrea for the sets. At the end of the night hung out backstage around a fire with a bunch of the other bands. Wookiefoot puts on an amazing and crazy festival and we were so happy to be a part of it. I’ll never forget when three guys came up to the bonfire at three in the morning fully dressed as potted plants and performed an a Capella rendition of “You Are My Sunshine.”
