8/3/16: Indianapolis, IN- GenCon. This band has a lot of firsts for me, and today was no exception as it was the first Game Convention I had ever been to! GenCon is a wild five day event that brings gamers from around the world together to see the newest and most exciting games. We were playing music for this year’s GenCon pre party which was on a block of downtown Indy. The annual event seems to take the town by storm, and the beer sponsor, Sun King, even makes an annual signature beer for the event. This year’s was called ‘twenty sided rye.’ The show was a lot of fun and it was great to see Collin’s family there. We also saw some good friends including friends Melissa and Jeremy who I could see singing literally every lyric from the new album! You guys are amazing and that was a definite highlight of the tour for me. We had a great time here at GenCon and I wish we could have seen more of the convention, but we are looking forward our Ohio shows coming up tomorrow and the next day, as well as another stop back here in Indiana in a few days!
