8/27/16- Ontonagon, MI. Porcupine Mountain Music Festival Day 2. When we drove in for the second day of the festival I had my eye on the gondola, which was running. We took it up to the top of the mountain and got to see a beautiful view of Lake Superior, the world’s largest freshwater lake. Michigan’s upper peninsula is gorgeous. Today’s set was a blast. We were so happy that people got up and danced with us and it was an incredible feeling hearing the crowd chanting one more song after the set. The festival staff was kind enough to let us play an extra song and move the day’s schedule back a few minutes. This was a definite festival highlight for me and it was great getting to go bowling back at the hotel at the end of the night with The Stray Birds as well as a band we had just met, Laney Jones From Florida. It was also a lot of fun getting to hang out I with Travis’ family who had come out to a ton of our Michigan shows. It’s always great getting to see our family when we play.
