6/4/16: Mendon, UT- Mendon Mountain Music Festival. We have been talking about Mendon ever since the great fun we had at the festival a year ago on our first month-long tour. We were so excited to see Jason and Kandis, our close friends who put on the event. We had an absolute blast getting to play again, and seeing so many people singing along to our songs, from old to young, made us feel right at home. A definite highlight of our summer: Mendon Mountain is one of the coolest festivals that we have the privilege of being a part of. The day after the show we headed north to Idaho, where we got to camp with Jason, Kandis, and some other good friends. We spent our afternoon hiking the surrounding mountainous area where we saw a moose from afar. I had never seen one before and was amazed with how big it was. After the hike we ate a delicious stir fry, and jumped into the 35 degree (Fahrenheit) creek, followed by playing music around the fire and enjoyed the unmatched view of the stars. It felt so great to go deep into the country and unplug for a while. The following day we all felt recharged and ready to make our way out to Washington and Oregon. We feel so thankful to have incredible friends like Jason and Kandis, and we are so lucky to have shared such an incredible few days with them. (Thanks to Sam Crumb for the photos, you the man!)
