6/3/16: Park City, UT- Silver Star Cafe. Home to the Sundance Film Festival, the mountain town of Park City is just outside of salt lake and has a similar feel to towns that we’ve played like Aspen. We had spent the past two days driving from Illinois to Utah and we were so relieved to finally arrive after running out of gas just a block away from the town gas station. I guess in the elevation a quarter tank doesn’t actually mean a quarter tank. The Silver Star cafe has an incredible backdrop of mountains with even more incredible food. I was excited to see that Guy Fieri had visited the restaurant on his food network show. The owners, Lisa and Jeff, could it have been more generous, and after a great meal we got to relax at the condo we were put up in. Some of us went hiking and others hung out near the pool. I think we all were happy to have showers after a few days on the bus. We played on the patio as the sun set on a beautiful night. It was awesome getting to see a handful of people who had seen the band before at a variety of festivals. After the show we relaxed in the hot tub on our porch and enjoyed the view of all the stars. This is such a gorgeous town and we definitely hope to be back soon. (Thanks for the photo, Lisa!)
