6/23/16- Peoria, IL: Cefcu Center Stage (Album release show!) The day was finally here. After nearly a year of hard work, we were finally going to sell our album, and we couldn’t think of a better place to do it than much of the band’s home town, Peoria. The Cefcu center stage is right on the riverfront and I couldn’t think of a more gorgeous backdrop. The weather was absolutely perfect and we couldn’t have asked for a better night to put on the show. Our friends Horseshoes and Hand-grenades played the show with us, making for an excellent bill. This was our first headlining show with over 1,000 people and I will never forget the feeling of walking onstage to such an incredible crowd. We felt such tremendous love and support at this show and were so excited with how it went. When we started singing the intro to Wildfire to begin our set the crowd erupted. They had been playing Wildfire on the radio in Peoria on 99.9 wwct (thanks Mark Algini) ever since we had released the music video for it. The show was amazing and it was great seeing people dancing and singing along. We had a handful of dancers jumping onto the front speaker and we definitely appreciates their enthusiasm (but worried about their safety!) After the show Austin’s mom, Jonelle hosted an afterparty for the band and our families. It was so great getting to celebrate such an excellent night with all of them and I couldn’t think of a better way to end the night.
