Changing

We all hate changing when we know that we got to

I’ll take my chances on me without you

I’ve been strung along a long line

And I’ve been hung up on a reason why that

sometimes we got along and sometimes we got it wrong

Now I’m wishing that we could rewind

It’s never been uncovered it’s been kept sealed

Why do we fail to show how we feel

When it takes only words for you to know what you’re worth

But sometimes I guess that’s more than words can say

We all hate changing when we know that we got to

I’ll take my chances on me without you

It’s harsh to face it on the day that we part ways

Well it’s hard to be complacent but it’s harder for me to stay

Take it on back now and retrace those years

It changed so fast when I chased down your fear

And I gave you the warning that what you wanted for me

isn’t only what is gonna get me there

I let it all unfold I’ll learn to let it go

I let my hair grow I don’t care anymore

about what there is to say

So if there’s no time for talking

I’ll spend mine walking away

We all hate changing when we know that we got to

I’ll take my chances on me without you

It’s harsh to face it on the day that we part ways

Well it’s hard to be complacent but it’s harder for me to stay

And it’s strange how leaving is a familiar feeling

They turn away afraid of what they don’t believe in

I’ll find a way

to build the walls up to the ceiling

I don’t see a thing or a reason we should stay the same

It’s easy when we turn the page

We all hate changing when we know that we got to

I’ll take my chances on me without you

It’s harsh to face it on the day that we part ways

Well it’s hard to be complacent but it’s harder for me to stay
